Where's Lady Gaga's 'Do What U Want' Video? She Explains The 'Devastating' Delay

Mother Monster explains why her latest visual hasn't premiered yet.

Listen up, world, Lady Gaga isn't holding back. The Mother Monster has released a lengthy statement on her social networking site, Little Monsters, to open up about why her "Do What U Want" video has yet to premiere. And in the process, she also shared what fans should look forward to in 2014 as she continues her ARTPOP era.

In a post titled "DWUW Video," the singer went into detail about why the Terry Richardson-directed visual, featuring R. Kelly, has been delayed. She originally told fans back in December this video would debut "this week."

"It is late because, just like with the 'Applause' video unfortunately, I was given a week to plan and execute it," she wrote. Mother Monster's second single was originally supposed to be "Venus" until it was quickly changed to "Do What U Want" without explanation in October.

"It is very devastating for someone like me, I devote every moment of my life to creating fantasies for you," she continued. "All my most successful videos were planned over a period of time when I was rested and my creativity was honored."

While she never goes into specifics, Gaga who reportedly split from her longtime manager, Troy Carter, in November, then went into further detail about the inner-workings of the management of her career.

"Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problems that ensued as a result. Millions of dollars are not enough for some people. They want billions. Then they need trillions. I was not enough for some people. They wanted more," she wrote. "I am very grateful to the photographers and designers who have always stood by me to make sure my fans are never aware of the things that happen behind the scenes, but unfortunately after my surgery I was too sick, too tired, and too sad to control the damage on my own. My label was not aware that this was going on."

With still no word on when the "Do What U Want" video will be released, she also released an alternate version of "DWUW," featuring Christina Aguilera.

Gaga is slated to kick off her artRave: The ARTPOP Ball Tour in May with dates scheduled right through July. It marks her first tour since canceling her Born This Way tour in February 2013 to undergo hip surgery. Ahead of that, she will also hold a residency at Roseland Ballroom in New York before it shuts down. She will play seven shows between March 28 and April 7.

"The next few months of ARTPOP will truly be its beginning," she teased. "Because those who did not care about ARTPOP's success are now gone, and the dreams I have been planning can now come to fruition.

"Please forgive me that I did not foresee this coming, I never thought after all the years of hard work that those I called friends and partners would ever care so little at a time I needed them the most," she continued. "Give me a chance to show you the meaning of seeing art all around you. Open your hearts to me again that I may show you the joy of us coming together through our talents, that we are stronger as a unit than when we are alone. Let me be for you the Goddess that I know I truly am, let me show you the visions that have been in my mind for two years. I love you. Forgive me monsters. Forgive me ARTPOP. You are my whole world."
