Watch The New 'Muppets Most Wanted' Trailer: It's Not Easy Being 'Mean'

Kermit the Frog suffers from a case of mistaken identity in the caper flick, out March 21.

Kermit has faced his fair share of adversaries over the years, but "It's Not Easy Being Green" takes on a whole new meaning in the latest trailer for "Muppets Most Wanted."

The international caper finds our green hero suffering from a case of mistaken identity abroad when Constantine, a bad-guy lookalike and jewel thief, dupes the Muppets into believing he is Kermit while the crew is in the midst of a grand world tour. Kermie, meanwhile, finds himself locked up far from home with Tina Fey playing jail-keeper. Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell also star.

Just like the film's 2011 predecessor, "Muppets Most Wanted" promises to be chock full of cameos. Among the famous faces in the trailer are Zach Galifianakis, P. Diddy, Christoph Waltz and Ray Liotta, though Lady Gaga, Tom Hiddleston and Salma Hayak are among the bold-faced names also listed on the flick's IMDb profile.

A Lady Gaga appearance only makes sense, as she and Kermit go way back. In 2009, the pop superstar brought the frog as her VMA date, and in 2011 they co-starred in a holiday-themed special on ABC. The duo returns to the small screen next week for "Lady Gaga & the Muppets' Holiday Spectacular," airing Thanksgiving night on ABC.

Even though "Muppets" co-writer and star Jason Segel will not be back this time around, co-writer Nicholas Stoller and director James Bobin both return for the family-friendly Disney flick -- due to hit theaters March 2.
