Lil Wayne's 'Face Dropped' When He Heard 'Last Rites' Reports

'He's blessed, he's up, he's in good spirits,' Young Money president Mack Maine tells 'RapFix Live' of Lil Wayne's condition.

Lil Wayne had a pretty tough week. As if his [article id="1703808"]hospital stay[/article] wasn't stressful enough, Weezy also had to deal with reports that he was being prepared for his last rites -- reports his camp strongly denies. As you can imagine, Wayne wasn't too happy.

"I was actually sitting right next to him, honestly, when it happened, and his mom was in the other room, and his face dropped," Young Money president Mack Maine told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway when he appeared on Wednesday's (March 20) "RapFix Live." "I just saw it in his face, like, 'I can't believe that.' "

After suffering from a seizure March 12, Lil Wayne was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, where he remained for six days. The star rapper was [article id="1703919"]sent home[/article] Monday as conflicting reports about his health swirled. Through it all, Mack Maine, Birdman and the rest of Weezy's YMCMB family messaged that he was doing well, while TMZ reported that his seizures where linked to syrup abuse and that the rapper was being prepped for his last rites.

"A lot of blogs and stuff put out some foolishness, but that wasn't true," Mack said. "He has four kids. Imagine his daughter hearing that somewhere in school or something like that, so he wasn't too happy about that."

Now that Weezy is finally home, Mack took the time to thank all the concerned parties who sent their well-wishes during the drama.

"He's blessed, he's up, he's in good spirits, and we'd like to thank all the fans for the prayers. A lot of people reached out and showed love, but Wayne's at home, he's relaxing," he said, assuring the public that all is well. "He's actually been in good health for a minute. They just wanted to run a few tests on him, that's why they kept him longer than expected, but he's been good."
