New Kids On The Block Fall For 'Outcast' On New Single 'Remix'

NKOTB's 'Remix (I Like the)' is the lead single off '10', which drops before they hit the road with Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees.

The New Kids On the Block are really into the remix. Or, at least that sexified makeover you got.

Late Thursday night, the fivesome took to Ryan Seacrest's website debut their new track "Remix (I Like The)," a beat-driven tune all about nottie turned hottie. The lyrics play out a bit like the plot to the classic '90s teen flick "She's All That," about a nerdy girl who didn't know how truly hot she is until she loses the glasses and gets one sexy makeover.

Along with an anthemic beat and plenty of "Oh oh ohs," the booming track also has some of those classic NKOTB harmonies thrown in for good measure.

The tune has a more organic vibe as it traces this lady's progression from "Ever the outcast/ Had no flava" to "Now her body's so crazy/ Got mad attention...My baby's so intelligent/ Down with it/ Independent/ Got it all."

The song is the lead single off 10, out April 2. After that, they'll be hitting the road this summer with fellow boy bands Boyz II Men and 98 Degrees for the [article id="1700587"]Package Tour.[/article]

"Ladies, we're coming for you," NKOTB's Donnie Wahlberg said in a statement earlier this week about the group's big 2013. "This is going to be the craziest year yet -- the single, the album, the tour with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men ... We can't wait to give fans 'The Package'! "

Declaring themselves the "Dirty Dozen," BIIM confirmed they will be up first during the tour, followed by 98 Degrees and then NKOTB. The tour kicks off on May 31 in Uncasville, Connecticut, and will then travel around the country with stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville and more. The tour wraps up on July 13 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
