For seven and a half minutes on Saturday night, Lady Gaga went from a girl who used to strip to the Rolling Stones to a pop superstar who got to perform right beside them.

The singer took the stage with Mick Jagger and the crew on what would mark the last U.S. stop on their [article id="1698635"]50 and Counting Tour[/article] when they stormed the stage at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Donned up in a Ray Brown-designed stretch velvet catsuit (which she later claimed "summoned the glam gods") with sky-high platforms, Gaga and Jagger traded lines on the band's legendary 1969 track, "Gimme Shelter." As she walked off, Jagger thanked her for stopping by, calling her entry into the night "brilliant."

But, even before she got to show off her moves like Jagger, the pop star tweeted all about her personal connection to the band. She wrote, "Gimme Shelter. It just two nights away!! :) Can't wait to sing with the Rolling Stones on Saturday Night. In 2007 i was stripping to them." She later tweeted out a photo of herself with the rock band, during rehearsals.

On Sunday, after the show was over, Gaga opened up some more about the event. She wrote, "I had a life dream to be transported in a time machine to 1973 NJ, beer + badboys. Someone heal me it happened + then I sang with the Stones. When Ron Wood gave me his pick and said I really love that song about you Hair, is that not every girls dream. Get me my AquaNet."

The performance aired as a part of a special pay-per-view event dubbed "One More Shot," In addition to an early appearance from Gaga, Rolling Stone reports that the A-list cameos hardly ended there. For "Going Down," the band was joined by John Mayer and Gary Clark Jr., the Black Keys took the stage for "Who Do You Love," one-time Stones member Mick Taylor took the stage for "Midnight Rambler," and hometown legend Bruce Springsteen joined the guys for "Tumbling Dice."
