Gwyneth Paltrow Bares Almost All For 'Love Don't Let Me Down'

I wasn't naked, naked, but I was semi-naked,' 'Iron Man 2' star says of country-music film.

They say that even cowgirls get the blues. And as a has-been country singer in the upcoming movie "Love Don't Let Me Down," Gwyneth Paltrow certainly has a case of them.

"I played a country music singer. It's all new original work. It was incredible," Paltrow told MTV News of the new flick, which also stars Tim McGraw and Leighton Meester. "I had to learn how to play guitar, and I took singing lessons. It was a real challenge, but I felt like I pretty much pulled it off."

While the [movie id="390378"]"Iron Man 2"[/movie] star didn't have to bare all while playing her troubled character, she got pretty close. "It was brutal," she recalled. "It was a brutal shoot. I mean I wasn't naked, naked, but I was semi-naked, in various stages of undress. She has a drug and alcohol problem, so she's struggling a lot. It was a lot of fun for me, as an artist."

Perhaps Paltrow's singing in "Love Don't Let Me Down" is what spawned the rumor that she's planning to hit the Broadway stage with mother Blythe Danner. But Paltrow, herself a mother of two with husband Chris Martin, shot down that speculation. "I don't know where that [rumor's] coming from," she said. "Not now. My kids go to school in London, so I can't really do a play in New York right now. When they're in college, we'll do it."
