[artist id="1244412"]Keyshia Cole[/artist] and her fiancé, Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson, have welcomed a baby boy, Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr., Us Weekly reports. He is the first child for the 28-year-old R&B singer.

Daniel was born Tuesday at 11:54 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces. "Both mother and baby are doing great," the singer's rep told the mag. "The proud couple would like to thank everyone for giving them privacy during this special time. Keyshia would also like to give a special thank you to her fans that have been with her since the beginning sharing in her growth as a woman and an artist."

The couple got engaged over New Year's with what her rep described as "an incredible ring. When he asked her to marry him, she was flabbergasted. ... Her mouth dropped in amazement. It's too beautiful for words."

The news of the baby's birth first broke on Miss Info's Web site, which reported that the birth took place in Cleveland, Ohio, where Gibson plays basketball.
