Lindsay Lohan May Be Questioned About Missing Jewelry

After an 'Elle' photo shoot in London, jewelry worth more than $400,000 has disappeared.

Scotland Yard investigators may be interested in speaking to [movieperson id="207177"]Lindsay Lohan[/movieperson] about $411,000 in missing jewelry that Elle U.K. claims disappeared after they were loaned to the actress for a photo shoot on June 6.

According to reports, Dior lent Lohan, 22, a diamond necklace and matching earrings, which she modeled for a photo shoot for the magazine, and the items were reported missing two days later.

Speaking to People magazine, a rep for Lohan said, "We inquired and everyone from the shoot is being questioned ... hair, make-up, stylist ... even photographers. Lindsay hopes they find the jewels. She is happy to cooperate."

A spokesperson for Elle U.K. released a statement confirming that the items went missing from the shoot and the matter is being investigated by police, but emphazing that the magazine is not pointing fingers at Lohan. "Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make," the statement says.

A police source told People that they are investigating the alleged theft of the jewels from studios on Brewery Road in London.

"Inquiries are continuing and no arrests have been made," the police source reportedly said. "As far as who we will be interviewing -- we will be speaking to a number of people in connection with the inquiry and don't discuss the identity of the people we are planning to interview."
