MTV Movie Awards Nominee Luke Goss Wants To Lose To Heath Ledger

While 'Hellboy II' star concedes his Best Villain trophy, he still wants Best Fight: 'We really put in the hours.'

Are you ready for a sneak peek at tomorrow's blockbusters today? Check out our new series "Behind the Screen" Sunday night at 11 p.m. on MTV for the broadcast premiere of the "Brüno" trailer, the very first visit to the set of Russell Brand's "Get Him to the Greek" and much more!

Luke Goss played such a badass in "Hellboy II: The Golden Army" that he's up for two MTV Movie Awards come May 31: Best Villain and Best Fight. While he thinks he has a pretty good shot at Best Fight, he wouldn't mind losing the Best Villain trophy to a certain "Dark Knight" star.

"The late, great Heath Ledger! That's beyond tough competition," said Goss, who played Prince Nuada in the "Hellboy" sequel. "It's fun just to be nominated. He did a God-given performance. I think he should get it. He will get it. He should win given his performance. I think he's got everyone in his camp. I hope he wins it."

But Goss isn't willing to give away all his awards. He's also up for Best Fight, along with "Hellboy" star Ron Perlman, and given how much work he dedicated to the fighting in the film, he hopes he has a better shot at that one.

"I worked hard on the fight," Goss said. "We trained for, like, 10 weeks for it. Anything I do for ['Hellboy' director] Guillermo del Toro, I want to give him my soul. We really put in the hours. I think the outcome is a badass fight. I think we have the best chance of having a [win] there, but who knows?"

Speaking of fights, "Slumdog Millionaire," "High School Musical" and "Twilight" are battling it out for Movie Awards supremacy this year. Goss put his money on Team Slumdog.

"I don't think 'High School Musical' is my bag, but there's no prejudice in music and movies," he said. "But 'Slumdog,' the way it hit a nerve, it deserves whatever it gets."

Will the vampires grab more trophies than the slumdog? What was the year's ultimate onscreen WTF moment? It's up to you to decide the winners of the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. Vote now, and tune in on May 31 at 9 p.m. ET, when the big show airs live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.
