Rihanna, U2, Kid Rock Join Grammy Performers Lineup

Jack Black, Josh Groban and Gwyneth Paltrow among presenters

As usual, the [article id="1600678"]Grammys[/article] are turning into one of the biggest shows of the year. [artist id="1022"]U2[/artist], [artist id="1940303"]Rihanna[/artist] and [artist id="10551"]Kid Rock[/artist] have been added to an all-star roster of performers that already included [artist id="1111141"]Coldplay[/artist], [artist id="2481017"]Jennifer Hudson[/artist], the [artist id="2088128"]Jonas Brothers[/artist], [artist id="510062"]Lil Wayne[/artist], [artist id="1225081"]T.I.[/artist] with [artist id="1231683"]Justin Timberlake[/artist], [artist id="1933910"]Carrie Underwood[/artist], [artist id="1962774"]Katy Perry[/artist], [artist id="1123"]Radiohead[/artist], [artist id="12165"]Paul McCartney[/artist] with [artist id="986"]Foo Fighters[/artist]' Dave Grohl on drums, [article id="1602662"]Wayne, Tip, Kanye West and Jay-Z performing "Swagga Like Us"[/article] and [artist id="504765"]Kenny Chesney[/artist].

Also added to the line-up for the 51st annual show, which airs on CBS on February 8, are Album of the Year nominees [artist id="2903935"]Robert Plant and Alison Krauss[/artist]. The first roster of presenters has also been announced, and it includes Best New Artist Grammy nominee [artist id="1220247"]Duffy[/artist], [artist id="1225988"]Josh Groban[/artist], [movieperson id="30855"]Samuel L. Jackson[/movieperson], [movieperson id="48379"]Gwyneth Paltrow[/movieperson], [movieperson id="163196"]Jack Black[/movieperson] and "Mentalist" star Simon Baker.

The addition of former [artist id="993"]Led Zeppelin[/artist] singer Plant and 21-time Grammy winner bluegrass legend Krauss means that [artist id="2002414"]Ne-Yo[/artist] remains the lone holdout performer in the Album of the Year category, one in which the nominees typically perform on the show. While the Recording Academy has a history of rewarding career artists such as Plant and Krauss in the big categories, Wayne's Tha Carter III has a strong chance to take home the night's most coveted award.

Will Lil Wayne grab all the gramophones? Is Katy Perry going to tell her girl rivals to kiss off? Can Coldplay march off with a win? MTV News is all over the [article id="1600678"]51st Annual Grammy Awards[/article], so stay tuned for interviews, analysis and more before, during and after the big night, Sunday, February 8.
