When you've fought the undead and sailed with Davy Jones, what new adventures can be found "At World's End"? According to "Pirates of the Caribbean" star Orlando Bloom, the next installment of the blockbuster franchise will have a decidedly Asian influence. "It gets bigger and better," he enthused. The flick picks up where "Dead Man's Chest" left off, with the crew of the Black Pearl sailing off the edge of the map to rescue Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp). "Chow Yun-Fat is in there, man, what more can I tell ya?" Bloom said of film number three. The legendary star of martial-arts films like "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," Yun-Fat is known for holding twin guns during action scenes. Does this mean that in "Pirates" he'll hold two swords? "Oh he does, I believe," Bloom said. "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" is currently filming for a May release. ...

In an age of increased security, almost everybody's got an airport horror story. For "Harry Potter" scribe J.K. Rowling, hers almost meant a long journey home. "The heightened security restrictions on the airlines in August made the journey back from New York interesting, as I refused to be parted from the manuscript of book seven," she said, indicating that a large part of the book is currently handwritten. "They let me take it on, thankfully, bound up in elastic bands. I don't know what I would have done if they hadn't -- sailed home, probably." The fifth Potter book, "Order of the Phoenix," is currently being filmed in England. ...

After impaling himself on a fishing hook, attaching a blood-sucking leech to his eyeball and chugging an entire beer with, well, a body part that doesn't normally chug beer -- what could "Jackass: Number Two" star Steve-O possibly do for an encore? "We want to start off 'Jackass Three' with Danger Ehren [a.k.a. Ehren McGhehey] putting his pinky up my butt," the professionally trained clown enthused. "Then we want to cut it off with a machete." Nee Stephen Gilchrist Glover, the 32-year-old actor described how the stunt would continue with Ehren's finger wedged prominently where it shouldn't belong for as long as possible. "[We] call it," he declared, smiling broadly, "The Stinky Pinky." According to castmembers, while no sequel has been officially planned, all involved parties are continuing to generate new ideas for a possible "Jackass" trilogy. "Jackass: Number Two" opens September 22. ...

Quentin Tarantino has never needed an excuse for delightfully excessive gore. But now that he's got one, the master writer/director is wasting no time lining up actors for the chopping block. Michael Bacall ("CSI"), Eli Roth ("Hostel") and newcomer Omar Doom have all been added to the cast of "Death Proof," Tarantino recently announced. They join previously confirmed castmembers Kurt Russell, Rosario Dawson and Jordan Ladd. The slasher flick will play alongside the Robert Rodriguez-helmed "Planet Terror" as part of a double bill called "Grind House." Connected by fake trailers and movie ads, the two films are both being shot in the tradition of 1970s exploitation movies, and will open Easter weekend. ...

Respek! The man behind Ali G and the host of the 2005 MTV Europe Music Awards, Sacha Baron Cohen, once again finds himself in hot water with the government of Kazakhstan over his character Borat -- and they're taking the fight to the top. While in America to discuss diplomacy with George W. Bush, Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has promised to bring up the fictional character and his new film, "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan." The Kazakhstan government previously threatened to sue Cohen in 2005 for portraying its country in a negative light. The satirical flick, which opens November 3, follows the clueless and anti-Semitic Borat as he reports on America for Kazakhstan TV. ...

Academy Award-nominated "Seabiscuit" producers Gary Ross and Allison Thomas have a new take on another animal classic. The pair will produce the computer-animated "The Tale of Despereaux" for release during the 2008 holiday season. "We have assembled a spectacular voice cast that will bring to life the unforgettable characters and help convey the excitement, adventure and fun of this perfect gem of a book," Thomas declared. According to studio representatives, the voice cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Sigourney Weaver, Kevin Kline, Christopher Lloyd and Justin Long as the titular hero. Written by Kate DiCamillo, the book follows the heroic journeys of a small mouse who must leave his home to rescue a kingdom. The book spent 96 weeks on the New York Times best-seller list, and was awarded the 2004 Newberry Medal for excellence in children's literature. ...

The ATL is about to get a little hotter. Jack-of-all-trades filmmaker Tyler Perry recently announced the launch of a full-service Atlanta production company appropriately called Tyler Perry Studios. "I'm so excited to have the opportunity to bring this incredible studio to Atlanta," the "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" director effused. "TPS will establish a footprint for increased production of film, television and theater projects in this city." According to Perry, the studio has already been used to film "Daddy's Little Girls," his new flick set for release in February. "I hope that this is just the start of making Atlanta even more of a movie town," Perry said.
