Dates For Linkin Park's Projekt Revolution Announced; Used Join Trek
As Linkin Park's tour with P.O.D. and Hoobastank heads for the final stretch, the Park are gearing up for their third Projekt Revolution Tour, which will launch July 23 in Cincinnati and pass through 32 North American cities before wrapping up September 5 in Mountain View, California.
The most recent addition to the outing -- which already features Korn and Snoop Dogg (see [article id="1485212"]"Linkin Park Taking Snoop, Korn On Projekt Revolution Tour"[/article]) -- is Orem, Utah's aggressive emo rockers the Used. "The Used coming out with us this summer just adds to what I think is the best tour out there," Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington said in a statement. "Our fans are going to get a great festival with all these huge bands, and we aren't even done adding all of the bands yet."
Later this month, the Used will head into the studio with producer John Feldmann to record their second studio album (see [article id="1485045"]"Lots Of Piano On Next Used Record, But It Won't Be Mellow"[/article]). The record will be released in time for the tour.
Korn recently released the second single from their latest album, Take a Look in the Mirror, "Y'All Want a Single," the video for which features the band wreaking havoc in a record store (see [article id="1485272"]"Korn Tear Up A Record Store With Crowbars In New Video"[/article]).
Snoop Dogg appears as Huggy Bear in the film "Starsky & Hutch" (see [article id="1485410"]" 'Starsky' Premiere Gets People Talking About Owen Wilson's 'Singing' "[/article]) and will likely play alongside Adam Sandler in a remake of "The Longest Yard" (see [article id="1485013"]"Snoop Dogg In Talks To Star With Adam Sandler In 'Longest Yard' Remake"[/article]). This year, Snoop will release two new records, his long-awaited 213 album with Warren G and Nate Dogg, and a new solo LP.
