Slipknot Headlining Ozzfest's Second Stage

Hatebreed, Every Time I Die, Bleeding Through on trek as well.

The nine-piece musical frenzy known as Slipknot will headline the second stage of this summer's Ozzfest.

Drummer Joey Jordison said he prefers the secondary platform over the main stage for one simple reason.

"It has a pit," he said dryly.

Joining Slipknot on the second stage will be Hatebreed, Every Time I Die, Atreyu and Bleeding Through, according to sources close to the tour.

No stranger to the Ozzfest stage, having played in 1999 and 2001, Jordison looked back on the good times spent on the annual metal fest. "I loved it," he said. "The last tour we did with Slipknot, I was on the [Marilyn] Manson bus the whole time. So that's always fun."

No official announcement on the Ozzfest lineup has been made by tour organizers, though rumors are circulating that Slayer and a reunited Judas Priest will join Ozzy Osbourne on the main stage. A lineup and itinerary are scheduled to be released February 19.
