Evanescence, Staind, Deftones, Stripes Headlining Weenie Roast

AFI, Foo Fighters, Godsmack, Blur, Chevelle also playing radio fest.

This year’s KROQ Weenie Roast concert features a lineup targeting everyone from pop punks to nü-metal rockers to indie hipsters.

The Los Angeles radio station's June 14 show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California, will feature sets from the White Stripes, AFI, Deftones, Evanescence, Foo Fighters, Staind, Sum 41 and Good Charlotte's Benji and Joel Madden.

Also slated to play on the show's three stages are the Ataris, Blur, Chevelle, Finch, Godsmack, Hot Hot Heat, Interpol, Thrice, Transplants, the Used and Pete Yorn. Tickets go on sale Saturday, with proceeds going to a number of area charities, including the Heal the Bay foundation, AIDS Walk Orange County, the Surfrider Foundation and the Al Wooten Heritage Center.

The show will be broadcast live on kroq.com, and a spokesperson said that additional acts may be announced in the coming weeks.

Rather than putting together its own multi-artist bill, KROQ’s New York sister station, K-Rock, is hijacking one of the summer’s biggest tours and calling it DFP 7-tarium. The Dysfunctional Family Picnic 7 will take place on July 8 at Giants Stadium in New Jersey and feature the full Summer Sanitarium lineup of Metallica, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Deftones and Mudvayne.
