Once again, Johnny Knoxville and the "Jackass" crew have shocked many Americans. Only this time, their antics took place not at a Porta-Potty or Ryan Dunn's house, but at the box office.

"Jackass: The Movie" beat out "The Ring," "Ghost Ship" and every other flick out there, debuting at #1 with $22.7 million over the weekend, according to studio estimates. The big-screen version of the gross-out stunt show more than quadrupled its reported $5 million budget ([article id="1458289"]Click for photos from the "Jackass: The Movie" premiere[/article]).

The #2 and #3 spots belonged to horror movies -- appropriate, perhaps, with the Halloween holiday coming up this week. "The Ring," last week's #1 movie (see [article id="1458256"]" 'The Ring' Knocks 'Red Dragon' From Top Spot At Box Office"[/article]), moved down to #2 with $18.8 million, for a two-week total of $22.7 million. The creepy remake of Japan's "Ringu" benefited by being added to an additional 650 screens after its impressive $21.1 million debut.

"Ghost Ship" floated in behind "The Ring" at #3 with $11.7 million it its first weekend of release. "Ghost Ship," about a haunted vessel that's been lost at sea for 40 years, stars Gabriel Byrne and Julianna Margulies.

Adam Sandler's offbeat "Punch-Drunk Love" cracked the top 10, landing at #7 with $6 million despite only playing 481 screens. By comparison, "Jackass: The Movie" was available on 2,509 screens.

And speaking of small movies, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" continues to soar, taking in another $6.3 million to land at #5 in its 28th week of release. "Greek Wedding" has now made $177.8 million -- more than "The Matrix," "A Beautiful Mind" or "Home Alone 2."

The rest of the top 10 includes Reese Witherspoon's "Sweet Home Alabama" at #4 with $6.4 million (for a five-week $107.2 million total); "Red Dragon" at #6 with $4.7 million ($84.9 million, four weeks); "Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie" at #8 with $2.9 million ($19.7 million, four weeks); "The Transporter" at #9 with $2.8 million ($21.5 million, three weeks); and "Brown Sugar" at #10 with $2.7 million ($22.3 million, three weeks).
