The event, put on by Boston-area station Kiss 108 (WXKS-FM), takes place on June 1 at the Tweeter Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts. ... Tweet shot her latest video, "Call Me," on Friday in Los Angeles with director Chris Robinson (Alicia Keys, Bubba Sparxxx). A.J. McLean will appear as an animated version of himself in Saturday's episode of the WB morning cartoon "Static Shock."  On the show, the Backstreet Boy attempts to help the program's hero, Rubberband Man, get signed by record company executive Lester Biggs (guest voiced by Malcolm-Jamal Warner), though bad-guy Replikon (a cameo by Coolio) thinks he should get the deal instead. ... Remy Zero will perform "Save Me" and their new single, "Perfect Memory," on the season finale of "Smallville," which will air May 21. "Save Me" is the show's theme song. ...

Jimmy Eat World will follow their stint on the Pop Disaster Tour and a few weeks of European shows in late May with their own headlining tour of North America. Two dates (June 4 and 5) in Washington, D.C., have already been announced. ... Canadian favorites Sarah McLachlan and Byran Adams have recorded a duet, "Don't Let Go," for Adams' soundtrack to the upcoming animated film "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron," due May 14. The movie opens May 24. ...

Eric Clapton contributes guitars and vocals on "Again" from R&B singer Kelly Price's third album, Priceless, due June 25. Faith Evans also appears on the album. ... Hip-Hop Summit Action Network founders Russell Simmons and Minister Benjamin Muhammad and veteran rapper the D.O.C. are planning a Hip-Hop Summit in Dallas for early fall. The second national Hip-Hop Summit will take place in New York City at the end of June. ...

Wu-Tang Clan will perform with Mobb Deep, Fat Joe and Redman on May 17 at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, New Jersey, as part of a literacy tour to raise money to buy books for children, according to a spokesperson for the RZA. There is no word on how long the tour will last or which, if any, of the other acts will participate for the remainder of the outings. ... Cake, Flaming Lips and De La Soul are among the artists slated for the Unlimited Sunlight 2002 tour, scheduled to launch in mid-July. Other groups participating in what is being planned as a five-week trek are Modest Mouse and the Hackensaw Boys. ...

Tesla, Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil, Jackyl and Skid Row will join forces for the 40-date Rock Never Stops Tour, scheduled to kick off May 17 in Maryland Heights, Missouri, and wrap up August 10 in Kelseyville, California.
