Mixtape King DJ Kay Slay Plans Cuts With Faith, Fat Joe For Debut

Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, LOX also set to appear on The Street Sweeper Vol. 1.

The sultan of seething commentary and mixtape gargantuan DJ Kay Slay is well into his debut LP, The Street Sweeper Vol. 1. Last April, when Slay signed his record deal, he promised a dream-team roster on the project, and it looks like he's going to deliver.

Slay has been piecing together his debut and releasing dribs and drabs of it in his incessant mixtape street donations via "50 Shot Ya," by 50 Cent and "They Wanna Know," by Sauce Money.

According to Eric Knicks, the A&R rep on the project, among the cuts Slay has in the can is a track from the LOX and a joint effort with Raekwon and Ghostface Killah. A collaboration with Fabolous and Faith Evans is also planned, as is a meeting of the Joes — Fat Joe and the smooth-out balladeer Joe.

The Street Sweeper Vol. 1 is tentatively scheduled for a late summer release.
