Fresh off a round of dates opening for Sting, Jill Scott will head out on her own tour, beginning July 17 in Chicago.
The singer/poet, whose Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds, Vol. 1 came out last year, will include several festival stops on her itinerary, including Erykah Badu's Marimba Festival — which will also feature Macy Gray and Sunshine Anderson — on August 8 outside of Detroit.
Scott, who missed several Sting dates due to a lung infection, is expected to announce more shows soon.
