Travis Sets Sights On U.S. Promotional Tour

After selling over two million copies of its newest album, "The Man Who," in the U.K. and Europe, the Scottish rock band Travis is gearing up for the album's U.S. release with a short promotional tour.

Travis is scheduled to kick off the brief outing on January 25 in San Francisco and conclude the tour on February 3 in New York City. It is also believed that the band will use the downtime in America to scout out locations for the possible recording site of Travis' third album.

"The Man Who," Travis' second album, has spawned no less than four singles in the U.K. with "Writing To Reach You," "Driftwood," "Turn," and "Why Does It Always Rain On Me?" The disc was also awarded "Album Of The Year" honors by both "Melody Maker" and "New Musical Express" and is set for release in the U.S. on April 11.

The band's first album, "Good Feeling," was released in 1997 and made a ripple on these shores with the single and video for "All I Want To Do Is Rock."
