Tonic was holed up in a New York studio this past weekend, hard at work recording a song entitled "Flower Man," the band's contribution to the "X-Files" soundtrack album.

As we previously reported (see [article id="1425876"]"McLachlan, Björk, Foos Sign On For 'X-Files'"[/article]), the soundtrack will also include appearances by the Foo Fighters, Beck, and Sarah McLachlan, among others, and is scheduled to arrive in stores on June 2.

In related news, Tonic guitarist Jeff Russo and bassist Dan Lavery spent part of their time in New York also participating in a photo shoot for an upcoming article for teen magazine "YM." No word yet on when the issue featuring the band will hit the stands, but we'll keep you posted.
