Carl Thomas Gets "Emotional" For Debut LP

Sean "Puffy" Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment is preparing to unveil its newest R&B offering, Carl Thomas, as the Chicago-bred soloist's debut album, "Emotional," is scheduled to arrive on April 18.

Thomas first caught the ears of Combs while winning over a skeptical New York City crowd at a late-night, open mic session back in 1997. Since signing with Bad Boy, Carl has toured with Puff Daddy And The Family in addition to writing songs for the likes of Johnny Gill, Faith Hill, and Ideal.

The singer/songwriter also penned a majority of the songs on "Emotional," which was recorded in New York and co-produced by Heavy D., Harve "Joe Hooker" Pierre, Nashiem Myrick, Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie, Rashad Smith, Gordon Chambers, and Mike City.

Carl Thomas will appear in the spring issues of "Honey," "Upscale," and "Vibe" magazines, and he has already released a track entitled "I Wish" as the first single from "Emotional.

Thomas has also been tapped to perform

alongside Mary J. Blige and Faith Evans at the Second Annual B.I.G. Night Out in New York City on March 28 (see [article id="1425765"]"Wyclef, Lil' Kim On Board For Biggie Memorial"[/article]).
