Snoop Trunk Songs Album Coming For Halloween

Sonicnet Music News

Snoop Dogg's former label, Death Row, and D-3 Entertainment plan to issue an album of previously unreleased songs by the rapper on Halloween, according to representatives at Death Row and D-3.

The first radio single from "Dead Man Walkin'" is "Head Doctor." The up-tempo song details a menage a trois Snoop Dogg had after a visit to a nightclub, said Paul Modiano, vice president of sales at D-3 Entertainment. The song should hit radio by October 17.

Swoop G and Tha Dogg Pound members Kurupt and Daz Dillinger make contributions to the album. The songs on the October 31 release include "May I," a duet with Lil Malik; "County Blues"; "Tommy Boy"; "Me And My Doggs," which features Technique; "I Will Survive," with guest spots from Technique, Kurupt, Salim and KV; "My Favorite Color," which features Big Hutch of Cold 187; and "Gangsta Walk," a Snoop Dogg collaboration with Tha Dogg Pound, Modiano said.

Suge Knight,

the incarcerated head of Death Row Records, is the executive producer of the album.

Snoop released his 1993 debut album, "Doggystyle," and its 1996 follow-up, "Tha Doggfather," on Death Row. He later joined Master P's No Limit Records and dropped "Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not To Be Told" in 1998.

Snoop Dogg and Death Row planned to release a greatest-hits album, which would have included the rapper's hit with Dr. Dre, "Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang," but talks fell apart this spring. There are no plans to release that album at this point, Death Row spokesperson Jonathan Wolfson said.

Snoop's next album on No Limit, "Last Meal," is due December 5.
