July 15 [16:00 EDT] -- Britain's Portishead will be previewing their second album in a special concert backed by a 30-piece orchestra at The Roseland in New York city July 24. The Bristol-based band will also be launching their official website July 23, which will allow fans internationally to view rehearsals for the preview as well as access an international press conference scheduled for July 25. The album is being released Sept. 29 in the U.K. and Oct. 7 in the U.S. by Go!Beat/Polygram.

A limited vinyl edition of 7,500 copies of the single "Cowboys," backed by an instrumental track, was released in the U.K. last week and sold out within hours.
