Ministry Live Albums In The Works

While a few legal hurdles remain to be cleared, it looks like a trio of Ministry live albums should be in stores this summer.

Eclectic rock visionary Mike Patton and his Ipecac Records hope to launch the first of three live albums from the industrial rock band into stores in late June or early July. However, Ipecac still has some issues to work out with Warner Bros. Records, which has been Ministry's home since 1985.

This summer, Ipecac plans to roll out albums capturing the band's live show in 1992, 1996, and 1999, spacing the releases one or two months apart. "Ministry Live: Psalm 69 Tour" is slated to arrive first, with albums documenting the group's tours behind "Filth Pig" and "Dark Side Of The Spoon" to follow.

A spokesperson for Ipecac notes that each album will offer essentially a snapshot of the band's live show at the time, as the bulk of each title's track listing comes largely from one concert on each tour.

Meanwhile, Ministry is

preparing to bring its live show to the people again this summer with a stint on Ozzfest 2000, where the band will join Ozzy Osbourne, Pantera, Godsmack, Static-X, and a host of others. Here's where you can catch them:
