Madonna Steps Into The Media "Light" With Oprah, Firms Up Film Work

Madonna joined daytime talk empress Oprah Winfrey last week to chat and perform two songs for an episode of Winfey's show that will air on Friday.

The cross-platform entertainer performed "Little Star" and her latest single, "Ray of Light" while visiting the "Oprah" set last Thursday.

After taping the "Oprah" episode, Madonna went back to her violin lessons, part of her preparation for her role as a teacher in "Scream"-meister Wes Craven's "15 Violins," which will be shot on location in New York this summer.

Her next film project after the Craven film will be the long-rumored big screen adaptation of the musical "Chicago." That film will co-star Goldie Hawn and is due to begin filming in London before the end of the year.
