Brian McKnight Hits "All My Children"

After flexing his acting muscles on the now-defunct WB sitcom "Sister Sister," R&B hitmaker Brian McKnight has lined up yet another gig that will see him return to TV this week.

On Thursday, the multi-platinum singer/songwriter will make his soap opera debut on ABC's "All My Children." In the one-off episode, McKnight performs his current hit "Back At One" at S.O.S., the hottest club in the show's fictional town of Pine Valley. On a related note, McKnight and country singer Mark Wills will perform a seven-minute version of "Back At One" for the evening wear portion of the Miss USA Pageant which airs live on CBS on February 4.

McKnight has upped his TV visibility since the release of his "Back At One" album last September. The singer has turned up on "Politically Incorrect," "The View," "Donny & Marie," "Queen Latifah," and "Soul Train" in an effort to pump the release.

McKnight will promote the album through the somewhat more traditional method of touring

with a two-month trek that kicks off next month. Eric Benét and 702 will rotate in the opening slot for the tour, which begins on February 3 in Cleveland, Ohio.

McKnight hopes to return to the airwaves with the video for his next single, "Stay Or Let It Go." The singer plans to shoot the video before the launch of his tour.
