Britney Spears appears to be headed back to her roots on the Disney Channel, and she's taking Joey McIntyre with her.

Entertainment industry trade publication "Variety" reports that Spears and McIntyre have inked a deal with the Mouse-themed cable outlet to headline a television special. "Britney Spears and Joey McIntyre in Concert" will reportedly be taped in front of Disney's new Rock 'n' Roller Coaster in August and turn up on the channel on October 16.

Spears (as well as many members of Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync) got her first big break as part of the cast of the channel's "Mickey Mouse Club."

McIntyre, of course, got his big break as part of the New Kids on the Block during teen pop's last great uprising in the late 80s.
