Kittie Preps Home Video, Music Video

With a stint on this summer's Ozzfest tour looming, the young Canadian headbangers of Kittie are preparing a few choice projects before the tour launches.

The band is putting together a home video dubbed "Spit In Your Eye" that is currently scheduled to arrive on July 11. According to the group's record label, the tape will include performance footage from the band's recent tour with Slipknot as well as interview clips.

We had done Slipknot show way back in January where we were opening for them, and fans were knocking down the barrier just for our set." [RealVideo][/article]

While it won't make the home video, Kittie is also planning to shoot the second video from its debut album, "Spit." The group will follow the success of their clip

"Brackish" by teaming with director Lisa Rubish to shoot "Charlotte" in Toronto early next month.

Speaking about their future video plans last month, the band told MTV News that it was shooting for something with more of a concept than its first video, but still wanted its performance to be a strong element of the clip. "What's the point of having a video if you're not even playing in it?" drummer Mercedes Lander noted.

The latest result of the band's video theory should surface by mid-May.

Of course, the band will give fans plenty of chances to check them out in person as well. Before hitting Ozzfest, Kittie will launch a U.S. tour on April 27 with Chevelle, Staind, Shuvel, and The Step Kings hooking up with them for select dates. Kittie will then head to Europe to open a string of dates for Suicidal Tendencies before returning to the States in late June. If you want to catch the band before Ozzfest, here's where to look:
