Inmate Acquitted After Ice-T Testifies

After the rapper testified for the prosecution, an imprisoned acquaintance of Ice-T was reportedly acquitted in the stabbing death of a fellow inmate.

The Associated Press reports that Tony Jake was acquitted in the stabbing last week, but was found guilty of obstructing justice in the investigation.

The 37-year-old Jake was reportedly charged with stabbing Santos Rosario at Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary in 1991, and then of paying another inmate to take credit for the attack.

Ice-T had reportedly been called to testify by the prosecution, who questioned the rapper about thousands of dollars he sent to Jake at the penitentiary. Ice-T reportedly testified that he sent the inmate $10,000 after Jake told him he need the money for a lawyer.
