Courtney Love Considers Manson, Morissette Tours As Hole Gets Six CMA Nods

Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love on tour together?

Such an unlikely, though extremely fashionable, pairing might actually be in the works, as Courtney Love told Los Angeles' radio station K-ROQ that Hole might go out on the road next spring with either Manson or Morissette.

Touring with Manson makes sense -- as both Hole and Marilyn Manson's new albums have dropped down into the lower half of "Billboard's" Top 100 Albums, although Love said she had reservations about the effect of Manson's apocalyptic shows on her daughter, Frances Bean.

On the other hand, touring with Alanis poses its problems as well, as Love has previously trashed the curious Canadian in the media, although she told MTV News that she has softened her tone on the singer since then.

"I love the post-Alanis Lilith thing," Love said, "because I think it's made the female dollar so much stronger, which is good."

In related news, Hole has received six nominations for this year's California Music Awards

-- including Outstanding Group, Outstanding Album and Outstanding Single. The awards will be presented by "BAM" magazine at the Bill Graham Civic Center in San Francisco on March 13, 1999.

Others receiving nominations include Korn, Third Eye Blind and Metallica, who each received four nods each in various categories, while newcomers such as Creeper Lagoon and the Donnas also picked up nominations for their recent albums.

The event marks the second year the awards, which were originally entitled the Bay Area Music Awards and handed out only to artists and bands from the region, have been expanded to include musicians from the entire state.
