Manson, Hole Get Tour On The Road
Following close behind the launches of Jay-Z's Hard Knock Life tour and the Korn/Rob Zombie outing, Marilyn Manson and Hole's co-headlining tour also got rolling Sunday night.
Dueling rock glamour dolls Manson and Courtney Love kicked off their tour in Spokane, Washington with Monster Magnet, who opened the show with 45 minutes of the same energy that made them a hit on Rob Zombie's last U.S. tour.
Hole then took the stage for an hour and a half-long set that saw the band perform in front of a shimmering white background. Love peppered the set with a liberal amount of between song patter, and gave away two guitars and the boots off her feet to a few lucky audience members.
Meanwhile, Manson's set started about 90 minutes late due to problems putting together his complicated set. When Manson did emerge, he did so attached to a large cross made of video screens for the song "The Reflecting God." Manson then went on to play for an hour and a half with only minor gross outs
and instrument damage to report.
