Ginuwine To Make Film Debut In "Juwanna Mann"

After making his acting debut in 1999 with an appearance on the CBS police drama "Martial Law," Ginuwine plans to make his way onto the big screen this year.

The R&B singer is set to make his feature film debut in a basketball comedy called "Juwanna Mann," according to "The Hollywood Reporter." The film follows a basketball star, played by Miguel Nunez ("Life," "Why Do Fools Fall In Love"), who is banned from the NBA for taking his on-court antics too far. Not ready to give up his basketball career, Nunez's character poses as a woman and tries out for the WNBA.

Ginuwine's character in "Juwanna" is not a far cry from the man himself; he will play Romeo, a singer who believes there is more to the WNBA's newest player than meets the eye.

According to the "Reporter," the film is being directed by Jesse Vaughan and is slated to start shooting in July.
