Fake Ginuwine Dupes Promoters

While Ginuwine focuses on upcoming music and film projects, an imposter passing himself off as the R&B hitmaker has apparently been duping radio stations and concert promoters.

Ginuwine and his record label, Epic Records, claim that a man pretending to be Ginuwine has been setting up concert dates with radio stations across the country and collecting money for gigs that aren't going to happen. The R&B star's camp says that for the past few weeks, someone claiming to be Ginuwine (and others claiming to represent him) has been conducting radio interviews and announcing that he's starting a label and looking for talent.

Epic and Ginuwine are urging any and all radio stations, venues, promoters, and private citizens to beware of the Ginuwine imposter and to contact local authorities if they're approached by anyone claiming to be the artist.

Epic notes that the real Ginuwine is currently busy working on his third album as well as his upcoming feature film debut

in "Juwanna Mann" and is not taking on any other gigs at the moment.

Ginuwine portrays a smooth R&B singer named Romeo in "Juwanna Man," which stars Miguel A. Nunez Jr. as an all-star Dennis Rodman-esque basketball player who goes from the NBA to the WNBA. Vivica A. Fox, Tommy Davidson and Kevin Pollack also star (see [article id="1429540"]"Ginuwine To Make Film Debut In 'Juwanna Mann'"[/article]).
