Fear Factory In, Judas Priest Out In Ozzfest Shuffle

In one more bit of last minute line-up juggling, Fear Factory has jumped on this summer's Ozzfest bill, assuming the second stage headlining slot that previously belonged to Judas Priest.

According to a spokesperson for Ozzfest, Priest had to withdraw from the tour to work on its debut album for Atlantic Records. According to the Ozzfest camp, the band's deal with Atlantic required Priest to have a new record ready by September, making an extensive summer tour impossible.

Fear Factory now finds itself acting as the tour's mini-headliners, so to speak, assuming the role filled by Motorhead on last year's Ozzfest outing.

I don't give a f*** if we headline the bathroom. We're happy to be on Ozzfest," Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares said of the move.

As we reported on Tuesday, the tour has also swapped out Nashville Pussy (originally announced as a second stage act) for Drain STH (see [article id="1426000"]"Ozzfest Dates Lined Up, But Nashville Pussy

Won't Be Along For The Ride"[/article]). Drain STH and Fear Factory now find themselves on a bill that includes Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, the Deftones, Slayer, Primus, System Of A Down, Godsmack, Static X, hed (pe), Pushmonkey, Slipknot, Puya, Flashpoint, and Apartment 26.
