The Eagles Top All-Time U.S. Album Sales

March 18 [10:00 EST] -- The Eagles have joined Michael Jackson on top of the all-time U.S. album sales list. The band's 1976 compilation "Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975" has reportedly reached the 24 million sales mark in the States, tying Jackson's 1982 album "Thriller.

The Eagles album, which sold consistently on the strength of classic rock ditties like "Take It easy," "One of These Nights," and "Witchy Woman" (which was recently dropped back into pop culture consciousness by an episode of "Seinfeld"), got a significant sales boost from the band's 1994 reunion tour.

Jackson fans need not fret. The performer's "Thriller" still holds the worldwide sales title with a reported 46 million copies, while the Eagles' collection has sold a total of 30 million.
