De La Soul, Wu-Tang Clan, Slick Rick, Dead Prez, and Mos Def have fleshed out the lineup of acts expected to perform during a four-day music festival that will be broadcast on the Digital Club Network.

The Digital Club festival will stretch from July 22-25 and will take place at more than 30 music venues in 25 U.S. cities (see [article id="1426182"]"Blink-182, Sonic Youth To Play Digital Club Festival"[/article]). Each club will be a different festival "stage." Viewers will be able to see live footage of the shows online, free of charge, at www.digitalclubnetwork.com, spokesperson Carrie Davis said.

First up is De La Soul, who will perform at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., on July 22. The legendary trio plans to release its album "Art Official Intelligence" on August 8. The first single from that disc, "Oooh," debuted at number 88

on the "Billboard" R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.

Mos Def and Slick Rick will perform at the Lyricist Lounge show at the Webster Theater in Hartford, Connecticut, and the Digital Club Network's broadcast also will include the July 24 tour opener for the Wu-Tang Clan, at Crowbar in State College, Pennsylvania. The group is working on a follow-up to 1997's "Wu-Tang Forever" that is expected to hit stores in October (see [article id="1429376"]"Wu-Tang Clan Assembles For Summer Tour"[/article]).

Dead Prez, known for its political performances, is the final hip-hop act on the fest lineup and will weigh in with a live broadcast of its July 25 show at First Avenue in Minneapolis.

Several rock and pop performances also will be broadcast by Digital Club Network, a company that installed Webcast equipment and Internet connections in 50 clubs across the country. Those shows include Blink-182, Sonic Youth, Ben Folds Five, Patti Smith, Widespread Panic,

Spacehog, and Aimee Mann.
