Puff Daddy, Lil' Cease Cut Track For New York Knicks

Facing possible playoff elimination in tonight's NBA Eastern Conference semi-final contest with the Miami Heat, the New York Knicks are pulling out all the stops, and the team has even enlisted the aid of rap mogul Sean "Puffy" Combs.

Combs has teamed up with rapper Lil' Cease and Hot 97 DJ Fat Man Scoop to record a hype track, titled "We Won't Stop," that will be unveiled during game six of the best-of-seven series, set to tip off tonight at 9:00 p.m. at New York City's Madison Square Garden.

We Won't Stop" takes its name from the slogan the Knicks have adopted for their 2000 playoff run and is also a phrase that Combs, a longtime basketball aficionado and Knicks fan, has used in various freestyle bits and vamps on his own Bad Boy Records tracks.

According to a spokesperson for the Knicks, who are currently down three games to two against the Heat, Combs was approached by the organization last week after the NYC team split a pair of games in Miami.

The track was recorded by Combs, Lil' Cease, and Fat Man Scoop during whirlwind, overnight sessions at Bad Boy studios, and the song is being delivered to Knicks executives just hours before it is set to debut.

Combs will be on hand at Madison Square Garden on Friday night to premiere the track as well as root the Knicks on.

Game seven, if necessary, will be played on Sunday, May 21 in Miami at American Airline Arena.
