Cheap Trick Announces Tour Itinerary, And Hear the Album Live
Cheap Trick has announced their upcoming tour itinerary, which includes some dates for their much talked about multi-album performances in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Philadelphia, and Boulder, Colorado. In addition to these themed dates, they're also performing at a free show with the Smashing Pumpkins on July 7 in Chicago at The World, and at three Pearl Jam dates on August 20 in Montreal at Molson Centre, on Aug. 22 in Toronto, at Molson Amphitheatre, and on Aug. 23 in Detroit at the Palace in Auburn Hills.
As for the multi-album dates, the band is scheduled to perform one album each night in the various cities, with five cites to be added in the future. On these dates, Cheap Trick will be performing -- in its entirety -- songs from their first three albums sequentially, Cheap Trick, In Color, and Heaven Tonight, as they did in Chicago in late April/early May. These three albums are scheduled to be re-released in the fall on Epic/Legacy Records, with additional previously
unreleased material on each album. Five studio outtakes will be featured on both the self-titled work and In Color, while Heaven Tonight will only feature two or three previously unreleased tracks.
The group, which has also been recording new material in a Chicago studio sporadically, will perform the three-album shows in Boulder, Colorado on Sept. 15 - Sept. 17 at Fox Theater; in Los Angeles on Oct. 1 - Oct. 3 at the House of Blues, in Seattle on Oct. 8 - Oct. 10 at Crocodile Cafe, in Philadelphia on Oct. 22 - Oct. 24 at the Theater of Living Arts, and in New York on Oct. 29 - Oct. 31 at Irving Plaza.
