Johnny Cash Released From Hospital

Johnny Cash has recovered from a bout with pneumonia and returned home after a two-week stay at Baptist Hospital in Tennessee, according to the Associated Press.

Less than two weeks ago, Cash's condition was listed as "serious" (see [article id="1426993"]"Johnny Cash Battling Pneumonia"[/article]).

The 67-year old Cash suffers from a degenerative nerve disease called Shy-Drager Syndrome, which can cause blackouts, tremors and muscle stiffness. The disease also makes him more susceptible to contracting pneumonia, which he was hospitalized for twice last year.

Since being diagnosed with Shy-Drager Syndrome in 1997, Cash has made only one public appearance, at an all-star concert honoring his career (see [article id="1426994"]"Springsteen, Wyclef, U2, Matthews, More Come Out For Cash"[/article]).
