Another Braxton Sister To Launch Solo Career

Yet another member of the Braxton family is launching a solo music career. Tamar, aka Tamar Braxton, the youngest sister of multi-platinum R&B singer Toni Braxton, has just completed her as-yet-untitled solo debut, and plans to release the record in the fall.

Tamar has enjoyed a previous foray into music as a member of the Braxtons, a trio that also featured sisters Towanda and Trina, and which released one album, "So Many Ways," back in 1996.

On her upcoming solo album, Tamar hooked up with some of the hottest producers in hip-hop, including Tricky (JT Money, Blaque), Tim & Bob (Boyz II Men, Dave Hollister), and Delight (Busta Rhymes and Janet Jackson, LSG).

For the solo project, Tamar wrote or co-wrote all of the tracks, in addition to singing all the lead and background vocals. The first single from the new Tamar record is expected to be released by late July.
