Bush, Blur, Foo To Rock K-ROCK Picnic

June 26 [10:00 EDT] -- Not to be outdone by a certain Weenie Roast in Los Angeles, New York's K-ROCK radio is planning its first ever concert event, with Bush, Blur, Foo Fighters, and others scheduled to perform.

Slated for July 1, the day-long K-ROCK Dysfunctional Family Picnic will also feature turns from Luscious Jackson, Soul Coughing, and Echo and the Bunnymen.

The Picnic will mark the return of Blur and Foo Fighters to the New York area after the bands turned in hard-driving sets at the Tibetan Freedom Concert earlier this month. Meanwhile, Bush will be fresh from performing for a crowd estimated at close to 400,000 at the Blockbuster Rockfest in Texas. The recently reformed Echo and the Bunnymen have been making the rounds on the radio festival circuit, and Soul Coughing is gearing for a stint with this summer's incarnation of the H.O.R.D.E. tour.

The Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in Queens will play host to them all, and tickets are available for $32.50 from

Ticketmaster outlets.
