An all-star soccer game and a 100-meter sprint race next month in London will see former Take That members Robbie Williams and Mark Owen squaring off against each other, according to Britain's "PA News."
The band broke up acrimoniously two years ago. The competition will also feature Blur's Damon Albarn, Leeroy Thornhill of Prodigy and members of Ocean Colour Scene, Space, Stereophonics and Audioweb among others.
The games are staged for the benefit of the Help A London Child organization. The organizers like pitting rival pop stars against each other - one memorable past match saw Albarn and arch rival Oasis star Liam Gallagher take to opposite sides of the field at the height of their well-publicized war of words. This year, says the news agency, the Gallagher family will be represented by brother Paul.
This year's event will be held May 17 at Mile End Stadium in London.
