Ozzy To Join Coal Chamber To Cover Peter Gabriel's "Monkey"

The good will that Ozzy Osbourne has extended Coal Chamber throughout their career has just gotten a lot better. Ozzy plans to head into the studio with the band in the coming weeks to lend his vocals to their cover of the Peter Gabriel tune "Shock The Monkey.

He's getting ready to come in after they (Black Sabbath) get off touring and do his vocals. I can't believe it," Coal Chamber frontman Dez Fafara told MTV News this week while in the studio with the rest of the band working on "Chamber Music.

[article id="1439889"]"If you listen to the original track, it sounds like Ozzy. Peter Gabriel and Ozzy sound the same. They have that high range thing, so we were like, 'Let's have Ozzy come in,' and then we heard he was a big Peter Gabriel fan. It just came together. It was killer." [28.8 RealVideo][/article]

Ozzy and his wife/manager Sharon Osbourne have been instrumental in Coal Chamber's mounting success. Sharon has signed on as the band's manager, and

Ozzy has tapped the band for his Ozzfest outing in years past. You'll be able to check out more from Coal Chamber's studio in this weekend's edition of "MTV News 1515."
