Ice-T To Produce Film For Snoop Dogg, Fat Joe, Big Pun

With his NBC TV series, "Players," currently on hiatus, rapper Ice-T has returned his focus to the big screen, and will serve as producer for a film starring Snoop Dogg, Fat Joe and Big Punisher entitled "King."

Directed by Albert Pyun, a vetertan of such fantasy and sci-fi flicks as "The Sword and the Sorcerer" and "Cyborg," "King" will mark the first of a trilogy of films that Ice-T has agreed to produce for Filmwerks, according to "The Hollywood Reporter." Ice's label, Creation Records, will also handle the accompanying soundtrack for each film.

"King" will mark the second recent collaboration between Ice and Pyun, who directed the rapper in this year's straight-to-video release "Crazy Six," a European mobster movie that also starred Rob Lowe, Burt Reynolds and Mario Van Peebles. Like "Six," which was shot in the Czech Republic, plans call for "King" to be filmed on location across several European countries.

Two the rapper-turned-actors involved in "King" have additional

movie projects in the works, as Fat Joe has just wrapped shooting "Thicker Than Water" with Mack 10, while Snoop Dogg is involved in a pair of other flicks, "Bones" and "3 the Hard Way," a picture which will reunite him with Daz Dillinger and Kurupt from his former support group, tha Dogg Pound.

No word on the expected release date for "King," but we'll keep you posted.
