Canada's own Barenaked Ladies will be launching the first leg of an extensive U.S. tour come September to support the band's upcoming album, "Maroon.

The follow-up to 1998's quadruple platinum "Stunt" is scheduled for release September 12, and its first single, "Pinch Me," was shipped to radio last week. Fans can head to the band's official Web site (www.bnlmusic.com) to hear the single along with another new song, "Falling For The First," in full-length streaming audio; a new track will be added each week until the album's release.

The band is also set to debut a video recently shot in Culver City, California, by Phil Harder, the director responsible for the band's clip for "Get In Line" as well as the Foo Fighters' "Next Year" and Incubus' "Stellar," among other projects. The video features a cameo appearance by "Will & Grace" actor (and fellow Canadian) Eric McCormack.

The tour is expected

to stretch well into 2001; so far, only a partial list of dates in September and October has been announced. Here's how it shapes up so far:
