Aerosmith Changes Cover Art To Appease Protesters

April 22 [7:55 EST] -- Six weeks after Aerosmith released its new "Nine Lives" album, the band has announced that it will change the cover art for all future pressings, citing a rash of complaints from the Hindu community.

The band says the cover art, which shows a skirt-clad body with a cat's head, was inspired by an original painting in a book by the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.

While several million copies of the original cover art are out there, new artwork won't be in stores for several weeks.
