Kid Rock To Tour Through August
Rap-rocker Kid Rock will follow his
July tour with Metallica and
Korn with an 18-date solo outing,
according to Atlantic Records.
After wrapping the July tour, Rock will begin his next trip Aug. 2 in
Evansville, Ind. Most of the shows will be in the Midwest, but will
include appearances in New Jersey, Connecticut and the South.
The History of Rock, released May 30, features the new single

excerpt), but most of the 15-song collection is the Detroit
native's early material. Rock released four albums and toured
extensively before suddenly finding mainstream success last year, when
1998's Devil Without a Cause was swept up with the sudden
popularity of rock-rap hybrids.
Though he'd been rapping and rocking longer than
color="#003163">Limp Bizkit, Rock received a Grammy
nomination early this year for Best New Artist.
Touring with Kid Rock will be his DJ, Uncle
Kracker, who released his solo debut, Double Wide, on
June 13.
