What would we say to Alexander Skarsgard coming back for the "Zoolander" sequel? "Orange Mocha Frappuccino!"
The "True Blood" star is apparently in talks to reprise his "Zoolander" character, despite that whole explosion thing that happened in the first movie, according to StarPulse.
If you remember, Skarsgard played Meekus, one of Derek Zoolander's (Ben Stiller) male model roommates who attempts to cheer up his dejected pal with going out for their favorite beverage. A playful round of dousing each other in gasoline at a gas station (set to Wham!'s "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go") ends in a fiery tragedy that shuffles Meekus, Brint and Rufus off this mortal coil.
"I'm pitching it right now. I wouldn't want to miss that," Skarsgard told Britain's GQ. "Well, I'm hoping they would do something like the scene with Hamlet's father, and that Meekus will come back as a ghost — I mean, he's definitely dead."
We love that "Hamlet" is referenced in the context of "Zoolander." The Bard himself would approve.
Ben Stiller has reportedly written a script for "Zoolander 2" but it has yet to get the official green light at Paramount. Here's hoping that we'll be seeing the return of Blue Steel sooner rather than later — in the interim, you can revisit poor Meekus' final moments below.
