ENTOURAGE: Episode 86, 'Sniff Sniff Gang Bang' Recap

Written By: Doug Ellin & Ally Musika

Story: Plans for an animated series starring the voice of Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon) catch a network's interest, but Drama himself isn't sold on the pitch. Following the public revelation of his infamously vulgar rants, Ari (Jeremy Piven) attempts an attitude makeover. Meanwhile, Vince (Adrien Grenier) has to convince his girlfriend Sasha Grey to turn down an alluring porn gig all while convincing studio executives — and Eric (Kevin Connolly) — that he's not on drugs.

No More Mister Nice Guy: When Vince first accepted Eric as his official manager, he warned his lifelong pal that the job could test the limits of their friendship — and in recent episodes of "Entourage," that conversation has come back around in a big way.

Eric is absolutely right in suggesting that Vince is on a free fall thanks to his recent self-destructive behavior. Vince's actions have resulted in the "Airwalker" director walking away from the project, all because the young star refused to take a drug test he knew he would fail. But rather than admitting any fault of his own, Vince fires back at the equally fired up Eric with plenty of bad attitude, causing an obvious fissure in their relationship. Without a doubt, the main attraction of tonight's episode (and, really, the entire season) was the explosive falling out between Vince and E. Let's wait and see how much further these two can sink.

Vince isn't the only one on a downward spiral, as Ari's badmouthing ways have finally caught up with him thanks to a tell-all story posted on Deadline Hollywood. Now, Ari is struggling (and failing) to repair his reputation at work and also in his wife's eyes. Ari and Mrs. Ari (Perry Reeves) have always managed to pull through their problems in the past, but perhaps this is the straw that breaks their happy marriage's back.

Really, the only character on the upswing is Drama, and he doesn't even know it. Although network executives are in love with director Billy Walsh's (Rhys Coiro) proposal for a Drama-led animated series, the elder Chase brother isn't interested in satirizing himself for all the world to see — but something tells me he'll change his mind by the time the season of "Entourage" is over.

Speaking of finales, next week's installment, titled "Porn Scenes from an Italian Restaurant," is the second to last episode of the second to last season of "Entourage." It's also directed by Eric Murphy himself, Kevin Connolly, and judging by the actor's fiery performance tonight, it should be a pretty eventful episode!
