Linkin Park is enjoying quite a year. Its latest album, A Thousand Suns, debuted at No. 1, becoming the third album by the group to debut at the top of the charts. A Thousand Suns has drawn comparisons to Radiohead and represents the band's ability to experiment both musically and thematically and stay true to its core musical values. The video The Catalyst has been one of Linkin Park's most exhilarating and most meaningful to date, referencing and reflecting the album's through-line of the millennial tension between humanity, technology and fear of a nuclear unknown. There's a cosmic otherworldliness to A Thousand Suns," which could be why the group chose Los Angeles' Griffith Park Observatory for its 2010 MTV VMAs performance, as the band almost literally scraped the heavens and touched the stars on a mountaintop beneath a giant telescope.

And now, Linkin Park's "Waiting For The End" video, directed by Joe Hahn, seems to continue on a metaphysical, cosmogonical path. In this exclusive sneak peek of "Waiting For The End," we see Linkin Park in another dimension, covered in what looks like atomic structures or constellations. But unlike the stifling submergence of Linkin Park's "The Catalyst" video, what we've seen of "Waiting For The End" feels slightly more cautiously optimistic--or like Linkin Park's already gotten to the other side and is learning a whole new world.
